lighting needs for anemone

I have a 125 gallon tank and am planning on getting a bubble tip anemone. I had an led fixture that had a plug that powered blue lights and a plug that powered the white lights (the led lights are in the same fixture). While in storage something happened to the blue lights and they don't work. The white ones still work fine, but the blue ones won't come on at all. Will the anemone be ok just using the white led lighting or will I still need the blue lights. And if they won't work what is the cheapest light to get that would work. Wont have anything else in the tank but fish and that anemone.

I'm gonna give that one a shot. If it works I may buy more as you just can't beat the price. It will for sure be good a light for my QTs and longer version would be perfect for my sump tank.
Only thing that confuses me a bit is why they need two power cables... I will have to rewire that.
And I still need to figure out how to dim them via voltage control (the link for instructions you provided in the other thread just led to a login page)

The anemone will probably not be ok with it for very long.

Here is a good quality LED for $83 delivered to your door each. I would suggest no less than 3. If you look around on Ebay you will find deals on multiples

I've never seen this 300w before might be an option to get just one

Have you run this led? Any cooling problems? I heard of one of the chineese led's getting hot and catching on fire at one point. Was this one it?

Alot of people run the mars aqua leds with decent results, there is a big thread in the lighting forum about them.

Thanks for the ideas. I took my led light apart and soldered the one side that didn't work to the side that did work and both blue and white work just not independently. I'm hoping this will work.

No I personally have not run them but like Shifty said many here do and a buddy of mine that has a side business of selling frags has several of them and has had no problems.

These will however be going on my tank in the next few months instead of replacing my T5 bulbs. I think I'll get the 300w for my 40b It's 36x18 so that should work out great.

Sorry about that, not sure what happened. Heck I don't remember the tread it was on :D
