Lighting on a 40 Breeder

Everyone,

I am in the process of setting up a 40 breeder. I am going to take it slow and let everything age but when it comes time to get down to some serious coral growing(purely aesthetic/not for business) would a 175 watt 14k halide be okay for SPS?

The tank dimensions are 36l x 18w x 16t.

It will be drilled in the back for an overflow down to a sump. That is about as far as I am right now.

IMO it would be fine (Iwasaki?), but you will not get full cover side to side. You will have a bright spot in the middle (depending on your reflector) but it will get darker toward both sides.
