Lighting opinion for 90gal

Maristar 2x250 14k Ushio w/2-460nm ATI T5's. Will this give me a slight blue tint and keep all SPS/LPS?

i think that will give you more than a slight tint of blue. If you just want a slight tint, look into a 10k like XMs on a eballast or reeflux with some VHO supplements.

Also. do you think this is overkill for a 90? It will be about 10" off the water. Will it be too blue?

Perfecto dude...I love where you are going with this lighting. You will come out with a slightly less than a 20K look...I like it. It will be plenty of light. You may get more growth out of some 10K's but you will also have a yellower tint...just depends on how you roll. The only thing I would change is the T5's...i like the blue plus better than the 420's...much much more PAR too, which would allow a lesser photoperiod on the MH's or some extra growth. Try the ATI blue plus bulbs.

Other combos I would consider....2 ATI blue plus T5's, 2 12K MH bulbs...I think coralvue may make some 12K's cant remember as I am not running MH right now
