Lighting question for sebae

Hey all, my local petco (I know) has a huge sebae in thinking of picking up but I'm a little iffy on my lights. I got the Mars aqua 165w hanging about 14 inches of the surface of a 40b. I removed the optics so the light will cover the whole tank, not sure if that effects the par values at all.
The nem will be placed at about 12 inches below the surface. Should that be all right? The lights are at 100% Blue/white.

Off topic kinda, would this lighting setup be able to support other types of Anemone such as mags. Thanks!

im not familiar with your light but id say changing the optics like that would change the par. esp at the bottom where your anemone will be. I have my mag under orphek led's and it does great. of course the mags go as high as they can in a tank so its right at the surface getting all the light it can. I also have a gig on the opposite side at the same height and it does great as well. its been a while since I kept a sebae but when I did it was under metal halides, but those anemones will want to be on the bottom at the rock/sand level. I do keep my hadoni on the bottom as well with my orphek v2 and it does fine. hope that helps

Orphek and Chinese box leds are two very different lights lol. I think I'll probably stay away from gigs and such just because of the intense lighting requirements.

I do have an rbta right now and it's doing well, if that helps at all.

Just my personal experience but I have 2 Chinese box leds 6" over my standard 55gal. I think I'm at about 70%blue 50%white and my gigantea has actually moved from smack dab in middle of the tank ~ 10" deep to near the bottom ~ 20" where the rock meets the sand. Still extended and happy, I've only had him for a few weeks though. Hope that helps :)!

*Also- My led's are how they came, I didn't take off any of the optics.

Ok so it sounds like with the optics I should be fine. I'll have to do some research on par differentials between optics vs no optics.
