Lighting question on new custom tank

I just had a new 30 gallon tank built.

Its 24" long by 16 inches high. I'm going to be keeping mainly only LPS and very very few sps.

List of what i'm keeping:

frogspawn
Hammers
candycanes
plate corals
anenome
bubble coral
brain corals
maze corals
open brain corals

Bulb is going to be a 14k for a nice white/bluish color.

Should I use a 150 watt MH or a 250 watt MH??

is it that nobody knows? Or nobody wants to help? I would like to get the tank up and cycling but am at a loss as far as what I should by for lighting for my LPS>

IMO 250 is way too much for most corals in a 30g... Gennerally LPS corals don't need tons of light and it's somewhat of a balance. I have had good luck with 4x65W PC's, in a 20 High, but am considering changing to a 150W in order to keep clams.

This picture is a few weeks old, but I have most of the corals you mention and they are quite happy.

I agree, I would not do 250 watters over that tank. 150 should be more than enough for lps. I would go T5 myself to save the heat and power.
