Lighting question

I just got a 65 gallon tank (36x18x25) and was wondering what kind of lighting to get? I want to keep mostly soft corals + some LPS corals. If i get halides i would LOVE to have clams, but i am on a budget, so i can live without the clams.

On my 20g i have one 96watt quad tube PC

Should i get halides? if so do they need pc atinics as well?

would one of these work?

or do i need a coralife 2x65 watt PC 1x150watt HQI

I was also wondering if a 2x96 watt PC unit would work + my existing 96 watt PC?

Thanks! Any advice is appreciated

Yes the Halide pendant form the first link would be fine,If you dont want actinics then go with the 20,000K.
You dont need to have actinic supplementation but it will help with a lower kelvin bulb.

The existing PC setup plus the extra one will work, but you wont be able to keep things to easily.

The last link is a good price, but again I would get a lower kelvin bulb like the 15 K.

So if i got that one from aquauniverse i would get the 15k bulb and then i wouldn't need atinics? And that would be all the light i need? just one? Could i keep clams with this?
Thanks!

I am not quiet sure how the 20,000K looks as far as blue, but I have heard it is over whelming and really blue. That is why I reccomended the 15 K, the 15K is half and half and is more forgiving.
With the 15 K you can or cant have actinics. It is up to you.
All in all if you want to keep clams go with a 400 watt bulb.

The 400 watt setup would efinitly be a good choice, no I dont think a chiller would be necassary. The halide should be 8 to 12 inches of the waters surface. Plus the unit has a built in 4 inch fan to keep things cool. The tanks temp should be fine.
With this kit I would get the 14K hailde bulb, you wont need to have actinics ad the color will be a perfect mix.

I myself have no Idea, I have over 500 watts of halide's but have no way of knowing a for sure increase since I am on the budget plan monthly. I would think maybe a couple of dollars if that.

Does anyone know this brand or the sellers? There is no brand name s i'm concerned about the quality of the light. ther wise i would get it
Thanks

I have heard good thing about Aqua universe, if skeptical call them up and ask them a few questions about it.

The halide will give off some heat in your room, but it wont become a sauna. I would say most in a basic sized room, the temp might go up a degree or two.
