So I have a Coralife 72" MH fixture with compact flourescents. I am looking to to buy a 16 ft strip of leds and attach it to the light. Either gonna buy straight blue or there was a blue/white mix. Is there anything specific I may want to watch out for when getting this strip? Some thing like these.

Another question is I found a site for cheaper MH bulbs. Now I cant find it. The bulbs are only 6 months old but they are also 10K. I want to put 20K bulbs in so that its not really so white but also has the blueness to it. Where do you guys order your MH bulbs from? This is what I want but not at that price!

With the Compacts, those are also 10K and thinking about switching to Actinic. Any thaughts? Was thinking these bulbs?

Any input is great thanks for the help guys!

I've tried both ushio 20k and phoenix bulbs.I find the ushio bulbs have a bit more blue but are more dim than the phoenix.i prefer the phoenix. i buy my bulbs from Marine Depot. the rest i cant help with, sry.

You might be surprised how much "more blue" 20K is from 10. Manufacturer and color temp will of course make a difference and a lot of the "how much blue?" questoin is very personal, so you'll get a LOT of opinions. Frankly, I'd adjust one thing at a time. Start with the Halides and then decide if you want more actinic.

The only reason y I wanna do both is because the cf are 10k and from what I read 10k does nothing but help algae out.
