so i have been bitten by the zoa bug real bad... Its time for me
to set up a all zoos and ric tank. I my girlfreind also wants to put in a rock with christmas tree worms in there as well...
Im looking at going with HO t5 tek fixture or 150 or 175 halide fixture + 5t supplment lighting, the only reason why im considering t5 is because im not planning on keeping much sps (besides the christmastree rock) and dont want to have to buy a chiller for my tank because thats means i can buy more zoos for the tank, Im leaning towards the metal halide fixture and buying a chiller but i just want another oppion and any feed back on HO t5 and zoos

I have hundreds in my tank with nothing but T5's and they spread like crazy.

I popped off one head and put it on a rock near the top about a year ago. Now, that same head has spread into at least 200 or more.

I'm going to have to start fragging mine because they are going all over my live rock...happy as can be.

well thats good to hear from what i herd they are pretty good for growing zoas and if you have good reflectors that they can be almost as good as metal halide bulds but with alot less heat involved which is good because my appartment is smoking hot in the summer

well thats a good point .... but i have been succesful in keeping one for over a year, the trick is to keep the host coral alive Piroties (spelling) and you treat the tank as a sps tank... if you treat it as a softy tank and dont keep the host coral alive then its hopless....

zoa guy/dock rat,

why the two profiles? We don't allow those here. Contact me ASAP as to which profile you wish to keep active. The other will be going bye bye.

PS...

If I don't hear from you in a timely manner both will be locked.
