Lighting question?

Not to sound stupid, but can zoas be kept under pc lighting on a 75G? And if so, would they have to be placed high, or could they be placed low. My LFS told me they would be fine under PC, but I am seeing mostof you use MH.

i currently have mine under PC light but i am swaping to MH and T5's. i am also new to the zoa world, but from people i talk to MH are better.

yes they can be keeped up pc but do far better under MH, t5 or a mix. zoa's main source of food is intense lighting.

Anyone know a quick simple way to upgrade lighting on a 75 gallon tank where all the coral is stocked in one endl like a minireef? I just need intense light on the one side. I was thinking of getting the 20 inch corallife pc 1x96 watt and running it behind my current 4 bulb 4x65 watt coralife pc. So, I would have two strips of light directly on just the coral. Will this be enough?

I'd save the money and go for MH's. The color of my zoas are much better since swiching to halides.
