My husband and I are wondering if we have enough light in our tank for a clam. We have a 2 t-5 and compact flurosecent that has two 65wt actinic and 2 10k. Will we have enought light for a clam.

You will hear the word no a lot, you need halides. I have 440w
of VHO and have a crocea about 8" below the water line and a
tear drop maxima about a foot from the water line. The crocea
has been in there for 2 years and the maxima about 8 months.
both are growing. I believe the color temperatue is important.
All of my bulbs are 10K. You should do fin, might need to keep it high in the rock works.

From my experience, I would say no, especially compared to the size of your tank. YOu could do derasa or squamosa, though.

2@ coralife T-5 series double linear strip with 1 10,000k 28 watts and 1 true actinic 03 blue 28 watts in each unit.
1@ Coralife lunar aqualight deluxe series with 2 10,000k 65 watts , 2 true actinics 65 watts, and 4@ 3/4 watt lunar leds

Are these T5 TEKS?
If not, then try deresa or squamosa
