Lighting questions

Hey guys, so since I started this hobby, (about 5-6 months ago) Ive wondered about different lights. The lights I got with my starter setup - a 24 gallon tank that came with everything I needed - look like any other led lights, very white, don't accentuate color at all. Which led me to ask the question... What kind of lights are those of you using that the regular daytime lighting looks like it has almost a blue-pinkish tint to the water, and all the colors, blues / greens really pop. I know that I do not have that. I will attach a picture of the box that my lights came in to see if that helps.

Hopefully I wrote this question well enough that some will understand what I am asking. There is definitely a difference in the two lights. Maybe someone can clear things up a bit. Pics help :)

-On a side note... Will the lights that I have (shown in picture) be sufficient for a Rose bubble tip nem?

I just switched from a very white look T5 setup to the reef breeders photon and have the blues set higher then the whites. I have colors on my corals that just seem to glow now. Reefbreeders has a 16inch value fixture that would work for your tank size. The Kessel pendant has a phenomenal look... and one pendant would probably work for your tank. The local lfs has that setup running and it is sweet.

The lighting package indicates a 25000 Kelvin light temperature which if correct should have a very blue color, but with these inexpensive lights you don't always get what they advertise. My recommendation would be to get a fixture with control of each of the individual colors so you can modify the lights to your liking and also be able to ramp up and down the intensity of the lights to simulate sunrise and sunset. The more colors and the stronger the lights typically the more the fixture will cost.

Can anyone post a link(s) to a good fixture that wont break the bank, but is kind of like what @thegrun is talking about? 24 Gallon tank, so doesn't have to be huge.

My tank is a little wide for that one I think, that one looks like it is more of a bio cube light. But the quality and color of light is exactly what I was talking about!!

I went with ocean revive t247-b just got it yesterday and love it makes the color that your talking about if you want I can post a pic later when I get home.

Yeah please do @Sw1tchG3ar! I love pics.

I looked up the arctic T-247 by the way.. I think I might purchase it! Looks like a great unit for the price.

Here is my 24" x 24" frag tank. I've been using the S026 and now the T247 for over 2 years now. OR does give very good customer service and answers questions at their Sposor Furum here at RC.
