Lighting schedule.

Hi guys,
I have T5's over my tank. I am currently running them 16 on 8 off, but it seems like before the lights go out the corals are already starting to shrink up by the end up the day. During the day they all look full and colorful, so that doesnt point to a water issue so maybe does this mean im not giving them enough down time or could something else be the cause?

start cutting back the time some, personally i think 16 hours is a little much and probably the reason they are getting upset?

maybe start cutting 15minutes a day for about 14 or 15 days. the gradual change should not effect your coral. that will cut you back to 12 and a half which to me sound a little better for the coral. everyone is different.

have you checked your PH in the morning, midday and at the end of the light cycle?

try 10 to 12 hours 16 is to much

Thanks for the info guys, I guess the plan is i will start gradually working the amount of light time back till i get to 12 hours.

My PH seems to stay between 8 and 8.3 throughout the day.
