Lighting Suggestions

One of my LED lights burned out this weekend and I am looking to replace the whole thing. My tank is a 60 gallon tank with mostly softies but I do want to be able to keep more light intensive corals. Currently we have a hood on it, I am not a fan here in AZ as well as I am in an apartment. Would have to sit on the tank so I know that limits my choices, as well we are looking for a light that we can dim instead of just shutting off at once (my fish still freak when the white lights turn off). Any suggestions would be great!

I love the Maxpect Razors, although off the top of my head I'm not sure which would be best for your size tank.

Integrated timer with preset modes and programmable. Most come with a clamp on type stand.

Check out a site called Build My Led. They make manual dimmers and automated for the led light systems they build.

Depending on your budget, there are many options. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

We had more problems in the past with the lower priced leds. On the same note, I've seen others with success, so its a toss up where you want to invest your $$$.

We've used AI, Maxspects and even Ecoxotics/Current on many systems with success. Would highly recommend them if they are within your budget!

If your open to other lighting I love T5's Ati Makes a dimmable fixture. I currently run ATI 8 bulb fixture with 2 reef bright led strips attached.

I've got a radion XR30pro "G2" for sale. Does all the fancy stuff, dims, lightning storms, clouds overcast days. It's brand new as I ended up not using it as I was planning on upgrading my tank. Wouldn't recommend sitting this on the tank top but they do make a tank mount for it.

My lower priced fixture has been going for 4 years :crazy1: Still not a fan of LED's and prefer T5's..
