Lighting wanted

I'm new to this wonderful hobby and looking for more powerful lighting than what I have. If anyone has lighting that they would like to sell please contact me.

I don't know how powerful of a light your looking for, but I have 2 brand new 400w Hamilton ballast, bulbs, and metal to make the reflectors.

thank you for getting back to me. I need at least 400 watts of power compact lighting or 200 watts if T5 lighting. You can also contact me at doconnell@triumpbc.com

Metal Halide would also work, but if you are just going to keep soft corals it would probably be overkill.

You can probably get away with less PC lighting, maybe 4 - 65w bulbs for softies. You would probably need a 4 bulb T-5 fixture which would also be around 200 watts. A 4 ft fixture would be ideal, but a 3 ft fixture would work also if you can center it over the tank.

I second the PC fixture for softies. I've found that most of them actually do better with lower PAR values, although with t-5 lighting you can probably due some cook color combo's if you like things in the blue spectrum.
