Lighting Zoas

I'm wondering if the Deep Blue Solar Extreme 4 bulb T5 HO will be enough to grow zoas? It will be on a 75 gallon tank. I also have an anemone and a few fish, nothing much so far. Thanks

I don't think you'll have any problems keeping zoanthids with those lights. Keeping that anemone long term is a different story though. I hope it works out for you. :)

Depending on what kind of anemone it is, it might be fine with those lights, but I've always thought that 75 gallon tanks were kind of deep. Those lights might not sustain it long term. (years) If it's unhappy usually it will start to move around. Time will tell. GL.

It would be better to get already the right lights for the anemone, if you really want it.
The worse thing is to get the light going and then to change for a stronger one when the animal is doing bad, in the future!!!
T5s are good. On a 75gal. You can have a 6 bulb fixture with plenty PAR and uniform light...
ATI PM is the best IMO.
If you want to go with MH you could have 2X 250W bulbs with supplemental blue T5s or LEDs.
I like all T5s better.

Let's see what others will post.

Grandis.

It is a rbta. I have another fixture with 2 coralife 20k that I can add also. I will most likely be moving up to a 125 with LEDs in the near future.
