How would you light a 2x2x2 cube no lid?

I want a mixed reef.

Lights have to sit on tank I cant hang them so they will need to have some sort of a foot on them.

A 2ft t5 fixture with a 2ft strip of LEDS on each side was suggested, or do I go with all LEDS? and if so how many LEDS are needed.

Can you use a stand or wall mount and hang something that way? You don't have to hang them from the ceiling.

The new 18" Ecoxotic Panorama PRO would probably work out for you. Over a year ago I asked Ecoxotic if I could use a 24" fixture over a 36" tank and they said it would be fine. So if you are worried about the 18" fixture not covering 24", don't be.

But if you are, get the 24" fixture for $100 more and get two extra modules too. Just a thought.

That's what I've done. Can't wait to get some water in this tank!!

I think you'll be pleased. I would hang the fixture 6" off the water and go from there.

Don't worry about it. The cooling channels are 100% sealed, the fans are STRONG and quiet, they have a 1yr warranty, and will be ~$20 to replace if you ever really have to.
