is 72 watts (40watt atitnic 32 watts daylight) good enough for a 55g fowlr? i'm only doing fish and rock nothing more nothing less i already have coralline growing on there when i got the rock i dn't want to lose that. what are your thoughts?

All you need for a FOWLR is light enough to make your fish look good. Its up to you what that amount is.

I have coralline growing in the shade. Under overhangs. Actually it doesn't do well under my MH. So you'll probably be fine

don't be too concerned w/ the watts/gallon ratio. what's more important to take into account is the height of the tank if and when you consider putting corals.
