Will 4 hours of a 250 Watt DE 14k bulb work for a maxima?

36 inch x 18 inch x i think its either 18 or 24. Its a 40 gallon tank with 1 inch of sand.

The height of the Pendant will be around 2-4 inches from the water.

I don't own MH, but I think your lights are way to close to the water. Your gonna get salt spray on them not to mention the heat issue.

I keep my pendant a foot over the water line....and it gives off more than enough light. also the closer the pendant is to the water the hotter your water temp will become.
