Lightning Sponge: no PE

Bought a frag of Lightning Sponge about a week and a half ago at a swap meet, and it was doing well for a few days. Fed it golden pearls and cyclopeeze, and it seemed happy. But now it won't open up. What gives?

I have a piece that has only opened up once, and only in the AM.
Do you have in moderate indirect flow? and low-light?

Actually, it came out tonight, so I fed again just in case. I have some pretty decent flow, perhaps maybe even a bit too much. Looks like I'll just have to experiment with placement until I find the right spot.

Thanks!

If this is the same:

then mine was opening every day for practically all day, as long as food was added to the tank. I kept it in two tanks, but each time it was in a high reflected from the glass flow, but quite far from pump: 400 gph in 12g, and joined 1200 gph from 2 pumps in 90g, ad the distance ~2.5 ft.
Both were low light tanks.

Now RIP, but polyps are still alive.

What are you feeding it? Something like Cyclop-eeze?

just dt's live planks and I was thinking of trying phyto-max by kent. I had a friend recommend that too. and he feeds arctic pods.

I don't know about minimum number of feedings, my tanks are non-photosynthetic and fed 5-8 times a day, the whole tank, no target feedings. But they may work too.

wish I could find one of those around where I live... :( anybody know a online vendor selling them?

I have a feeling you will want to feed it Live baby brine shrimp.
Like another said.. the polyps are large soo zooplankton is better then phyto.
Cyclops should work as well.. just feed it directly. Maybe even mysis ?
