OK, I am looking for replacement lights for a 24 Gal Nano... looks like there are two big contenders, in two flavors. Flavors- 75 and 150 watt- so, which one?

As to models, there are ones by Sunpod with include moon lights, and seem nice. But they are more expensive, and I am not sure how to use these on a Nano.

Then there is the Vipers, which mount easy, look pretty cool, and are less expensive. But no moonlights.

Any experiences with these, what do you think?

tthey dont make 75w mh's as far as i know, so i'll assume you mean 70w halides and 150w halides.

On a 24g tank i'd definately go w/the 150w one. I'll be getting a 150w halide for my 16 bowfront but having it a bit higher from the tank, but imo 70w for a 24g nanocube is prolly not enough.

Also, the vipers are supposedly very cheaply made. They get really hot and the flimbsy plastic arm gets all warped and there are lots of people who say they fall over and whatnot. I wouldnt get the viper. I'd look for a halide w/out the moonlights since they're not completely nessesary and they do add a bit to the expense. Then if you want you can add moonlights at a later point.

I have a friend who has a viper and as soon as he can plans to buy the Sunpod and sell the viper, that thing has been a huge headache.
And go with the 150.
