Hello all,

I have a 29 gal BioCube and have been the hobby for about 2 months although I have kept 175 gal fresh water tanks for 30 years.

The lights are blue and white 16,000 K.

I have soft polyps and some mushrooms.

I run the lights both blue and white at 50%. The mushrooms are in the "shade" of some rocks rhe others are about 8 - 10 inches down in the water column.

How much light do I need to be running and how is light measured ? In LUX ?

Thank you very much.

Val

You would like to have a reading of around 50 PAR (read with a PAR Meter) at thr bottom of your tank for most soft corals. Shoot for at least 100 PAR for light demanding corals.
