I have a 120gal, 48 x 24 x 30

It has 2 metal hallides that uses 2 white lights. I want a blus and a purple also, what can i do ? I want it to be siffucient enough to hit ths bottom of the tank. What can i do? I heard i can upgrade one of the bulbs into blue? I heard if i use a 48 inch Odyssea t5 lighting then it wobt hit tha bottom if this deep tank? Need help thanks!

You have a 150 gallon tank FYI. There are a plethora of metal halide lamps that are more blue, so you could just replace the lamps and not worry about adding T5.

Do you know what kind of lamps you have now? Brand and spectrum (e.g. XM 10,000K, Ushio 14,000K...)

The higher the kelvin temperature of the MH bulb the bluer the light will be. Less will also work on a tank that's 30" deep

My 46g is 32" deep and 30" at the top of the sand bed. I run Rapid Onyx LED setup with 60 degree lenses. I was running MH as well but I am glad I made the change. My derasa clam sitting on the sand bed is happy and I have the ability to control the color individually.

My tank is 43" deep. I run a MARSaqua Led set up. My blues are at 60-70% and my whites are at 30% or so. I just set it up and didn't want to fry my corals.
All my corals look great since the move 1-2wks ago.some corals are at the bottom, some are mid bottom and some more are in the middle. There are no sps yet, but my clams, zoas, lps are all open and great. It's a lil blue at the moment for my taste but I will turn it up in a few weeks of acclimation since whites are only at 30%

Do you have a link to your lights? Thanks

Do you have a link on your lights please ? Much appreciated :fun2:

Also, I have a 36 inch Odyssea t5 on my current 40 gal breeder tank, was just wondering if I can use an Odyssea for this tank, will it reach the bottom enough?
