Is any one using AI hydro twenty six lights. I was planning on using 3 over a 210 gallon and having a hard time spending the money over Chinese lights. To part ? do you like the AIs and would you buy them over Chinese lights

Never used the hydra 26 but used the sol's. They didnt work out for me, they just didnt have the power i needed. I ended using 3 reef breeders over my 220. The reef breeders did fantastic growing everything, including acro. I am currently selling them if you end up going that direction.

The Chinese led's work great for a time. My dad has been though 7 in the last year or so. They just don't last. 3 AI hydra seems a little bit under powered. If you can afford it go with three radion xr30 pros.you'd need at least 3 light fixtures. I know someone was selling a couple xr30s I also have a brand new in now xr30 pro for sell $650

The 26 are very bright, 3 would be a ton of light. I have 4 on a 10 ft by 3 ft setup and they are great. Had them up about a year now, power is between 45 and 75%. Highly recommend. Either that or kessil with that shimmer they remind me of my halide.

I've used the Chinese Blackbox before and my father still does. Problem with them as they seem to burn out really quickly. My dad has replaced his multiple times in the last year and half. I'd save up and spend your moody on the better built fixtures.

Depends on the dims of your tank, there are also the fifty twos... Chinese vs AI, IMO, hands down AI even at a significant price difference!

You get what you pay for...AI price worth it?? debatable, but are they are well built quality fixtures, so heck yes for me! I've installed quite a few of them and I would recommend them.

Chinese fixtures came a long way, some had success and some don't. if you go that route, don't expect too much from them, especially longevity. I've seen them work well on some system, but would never recommended it. Just make sure you have a backup plan when it decides to stop working on you.

Just like the Jebao pumps. People would prefer to get 3 jebao over a vortech (1/3 the cost) but when it stopped working, they are scrabbling to find a replacement.

Just don't be one of those people that complaints when the "cheaper" stuff breaks on them :)

If want to save on brand name led lights they will be marking them down soon when next-gen hardware to be released at MACNA. Right now most site have them 10 to 20% off
