Help!

My pH is low. Everyone on this board advised me to add lime. However my pH seems to be getting lower the more lime I add.

My pH was 8.0 when I started. When I tried to add the lime, it actually when down to 7.8. I add more lime the next day, but my pH is now 7.4! Should I keep adding lime!?!?

I usually don't add the seeds or the zest, just the juice. Is this correct?

I use the lime in the bottles itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s cheaper then buying enough limes to make the same amount of juice. It also saves a lot of time, making it up every night.

What? Can you point out that thread?????

Why wouldn't you add buffer or correct any issues with your Alk rather than adding an acid with the hopes of making your system more basic (e.g. adding lime doesn't make any sense as it will LOWER your pH)

Are you sure they weren't talking about Limewater? As in Kalkwasser? Dripping Kalkwasser into your system will add buffer and Calcium in a balances solution.

... I would suggest doing a water change :)

Several :D And test Ca/Alk. I'm sure your Alk is out of what having to neutralize the acid you poored in.

Sadly, this is completley understandable with the 'shorthand' we use here and the tangent of people dosing sugar, Vodka, cooking rocks, etc... I can see where someone would get the wrong idea very easily.

I go through a couple limes each week, Corona's just don't taste right without them :)

LOL... I'm a Negro Modelo fan myself... but likewise on the lime ;)
