Limpets...i think that's spelled right.

COMAS Rocks!
I'm not entirely sure as to weather or not these are limpets in my tank or not, but from what I've read so far i'm pretty sure they are. Whitish, largest one is about an inch long, snail like but instead of a shell they have these "pads" on there backs. If these are limpets and anybody is interested in adopting a few I have oodles of them everywhere in my 55g.

Are you sure that they aren't Stomatella Snails?

Adam, Stomatella's are the other possibility who'se name I couldn't remember when we were talking about them. Plus, I would love a couple. :)

That's It!!! That's the little buggers! you rock Travis!
and yes Russ, you are more than welcome. Just give me a buzz before ya show up and I'll round em up for ya. If anybody else would like a couple let me know. I know I have counted at least 20 of them and that's just what I saw, they crawl everywhere so no telling how many more are in the tank.

Sweet.
Ok, I'll hook you guys up first, if I have more available I'll post again. (these things are breeding like crazy so It shouldn't be too long)

Adam, Let nix_tank have my share for now. My life will be a little weird for a while and will not be able to pay that much attention to it. I can get some later.

I'll plan on bringing some to the meeting, I'll just round up as many as I can and work it out from there. Nix or Serra, If you guys are not going to be at the meeting this saturday let me know and we can arrange something else. Most of the population is still little bitty babies but I'm sure I'll be bringing a few larger Stomatellas. You guys be sure to let me know who you are at the meeting, cause I'm horrable with names =o)

I could really use some of these as I have a good growth of hydroids, which are sometimes remedied by limpets. If you can bring some to the September meeting, I will be there then.

Thanks for offering these up - that is really great. I might suggest we get a donor thread open for it...

Uh, CaptBunzo,
i guess I didn't specify, I've got the Stomatella Snail not the Limpets. I've got about 10 round up right now, mostly little bitty ones. Had a very huge bugger but my girlfriend accidenatly ripped him in two when trying to get him out of the tank. It was so sad, I thought she was going to cry for killing my snail. But I'll try to round up even more so I have plenty to go around.
