Lineatus wrasse

Anyone have one of these in their reef tank? I've heard that they are quite aggressive towards other wrasses and I just want to find out if it'll be compatible with others. As far as wrasses go, I currently have a male hooded wrasse, potter's wrasse, and a male labouti wrasse.

I want to add (1) lineatus, (1) rhomboid, and (1) flame wrasse. Would this be a wise purchase or should I just stick to one of them? Any help would greatly be appreciated

I think its better to add it last

I just release 3 female few minutes ago at First I was worried it will get beat up by my other wrasse but I think it can hold its own against my 35- 40 other wrasse

For example while in Sump they beat up my larger red margin.

Hooded and rhomboids are mellower fish... I would DEFINITELY add them first. Flames can hold their own so they can be added a little later.

My lineatus is king of the tank. He's by far my largest wrasse (~5") and probably the most gentle out of all of them. The only fish he's ever gone after was an orange shoulder which he promptly destroyed. I know every fish is different but just relaying my personal experience with this fish.

The problem I see with what you have going on is the labouti already in the tank. I've got one and a buddy has one and both are absolute terrors.

An acclimation box will save you a lot of money and grief. Use it until the other wrasses show no interest in the fish in the box.

I have my pair in QT for a few more weeks and then will introduce them to my display tank. I don't expect any problems.

I have one with a pair of rhomboids, pair of exquistes, and a single lobouti. The rhomboid is actually king of my tank as far as wrasses go, but they all get along pretty well. There was some agression between the rhomboid and the Lineatus when the Lineatus was firts introduced, but that has calmed down.
