ive become fascinated with lion fish and want to convert my semi reef into a lion tank, tank is a 90 gal with a 30g sump, asm g3 skimmer ect. so im looking for some advice on a mix that would work for my tank size, ive done alot of reading as far as getting lions to eat foods other then live but 1st hand exp from people who are into lions would be great, heres my vision so any and all comments are welcome
dendrochirus brachy aka dwarf fuzzy
pterois russelii aka russels lion
and last but not least a dendrochirus zebra aka zebra lion

The russels will get too big for that tank. The fuzzy and zebra would be great though. You could also do a medium sized lion too, my preference is the mombasae

If the russelii was going to be the only lion in the tank, you'd be fine with a properly-aquascaped 90 gal, but since you plan on a "lion's den", I'd want a bit more space for the Russel's (BTW, we have a 210 gal medium lion's den in the works that is SO close to completion).

If you haven't seen them, there are a couple of good articles that may be helpful:

Lionfish Care Guide

Lionfish Info Sheet

Frank Marini (who penned the "info sheet") also has a GREAT book out called Lionfishes and Other Scorpionfishes that's full of great info and pix. It's < $10 on Amazon, and there's even a Kindle edition.

ty for the reply Greg, those are 2 great links i already have book marked and i will scratch the russels off the list, so how does jarrods mix sound 1 fuzzy 1 zebra and a mombasae?

Btw is there any current fish in there that are staying through the change? That will make difference also
