Hello i am making my tank fish only tank and i just wanted to keep one fish a lionfish but i have one question i sold my powerhead because i was going to break down my tank but i didn't so my question is should i buy a new powerhead for the lionfish or would an airstone can do the job of a powerhead?

Thanks

Is the tank you going to use the 24gallon? It should work with just an airstone. But a lionfish will out grow that rather quickly.

What species of lion are you considering and what's your tank size/shape? What is your main filtration/flow setup?

I don't use PH's in my DT's, mostly because they're ugly and secondly because I specifically design my setups to work without them. However, I do have some smaller scorp/lion setups that I incorporate a length of rigid airline (open-ended) in one of the corners for a bit more surface turbulance if required.

Yes 24 gallon aquapod and i know it will out grow the tank but i am going to buy the smallest i can find and i was thinking of a Edward LIonfish Species

Starting out you should be fine but even the dwarf lions can get 6in and the spines will make it look crowded. Good luck make sure you provide good diet and water quality. Lions can be a little hard to get eating but once they do they are pigs.
