Lionfish

Petco in Edmond has a beautiful lion on sake fir $32.99. He is about 6". Just thought I would post in case someone is looking for one.

my orange spotted rabbitfish is enough venom in the tank for me. he brushed his spines against my wifes hand when she was putting seaweed in the other day. her whole forearm went numb for about 20 minutes. with her luck that lionfish would probably be the death of her. i'd only get him if that price included life insurance too!!!

I hear you on that. I have gotten stung one too many times with lions. The manager will cut the deal just to get him out from the tank. He is getting to big for the tank. She also has a beat up sailfin she will adopt out if anyone is willing. You just have to speak to the manager (Clair)

i wouldn't mind adopting the sailfin if they don't want too much for him. unfortunately clair isn't there today. maybe tomorrow i can try again. i always seem to get the sick fish to nurse back to health for some reason. i guess i just feel bad for them and want to give them a happy home.

i went up there tonight and adopted the sailfin for the low adoption fee of $10. he was looking pretty sad with his pale coloring, half missing dorsal & anal fins and tail, and the little chunk taken out above his right eye. i knew after a couple more days up there, he was probably gonna be a floater.

but no sooner than i get him home and in the quarantine. he's happy, colors are very bold, and swimmin around the front glass as to say “thanks for saving my hide." he even immediatly came to eat the seaweed i put in for him, so i think he might pull through and hopefully he'll grow all of his fins back.

thanks for the heads up.
