Lion's Coral Den! Rics, Zoas, Palys!, Ric and Zoa/Paly lover!

lots of awesome corals in here!
Thank you. :)

you got a dwarf golden eel?
You guessed right! Had her for about a month now and she's doing great. I'll post a video of her eating soon.

You have some very nice corals. Looks great!
Thank you very much. :)

Here are some pictures of Saphira, named after her blue eyes. She's so small vs a quarter!

Very nice, I am very motivated by your tank since I am setting up a new nano next week. I really like your aquascaping and your coral selection.

Beautifull!!!!!
Respect!!
Thanks Dias!

Thanks Maxi, I really liked my aquascape too. There were a lot of inspirations on multiple forums that got me scape my tank a certain way.

Dood, that eel is kewl!! Now I want to get one...
Saphira is queen of the cube!

Loving the tank!
Can I make a request for an updated FTS please?
Sorry Rockster, there's not really much of a display tank to look like since I ended up moving a good chunk of the rock into an upcoming 28 cube upgrade. So no FTS.

But...

I haven't updated this tank in a long long time and the camera was charged so why not?

Very nice tank. I am really hoping my 10 gal nano in my office will be close to this one day.

Thanks Posty for the compliment! Really appreciate it. :)

So I said that I had a NC28 as an upgrade. Then I find a Solana 25... No more NC for me! Basically the NC28 was used to cycle some FHI rock. Now I'm on the hunt for a stand.

I've also noticed that my main tank is so over crowded with frags, even with my frag tank, it's not much of a display. This was also because I had the mindset that everything was temporary until I upgraded. But finding different morphs of zoas was so fun that I ended having too many to keep, let alone have a proper display.

So now lots of things are for sale, and I'll be trying to keep only the morphs I want in the new Solana, aside from a few frags in the frag tank. It's always far easier to buy buy buy everything you want, but having patience to grow out your corals as part of your tank and have that mature look is something I need to go back to.

The Solana is a perfect tank to do so, but scaping is... My mind is a bit brain dead on ideas. I just don't want the central rock structure that most cubes have, but I do admit it's very effective for coral space. We'll see, but first... a stand!

You have got delicious tank. I love it. Unfortunately for me i see your crazy zoa's, before buying some new frag pack. Now my order list have got over 50 dollar more zoa's ^^

Really cool tank going and you have an interesting way of saying things which makes the thread fun to read too.

Couple of questions...

What LFS do you usually go to in San Jose?

Also, do you mind saying what you paid for the rastas? Let me know if you frag any and want to sell some. I'd be willing to go up to SJ to pick some up. I know you mentioned that they grow pretty quick. Thanks.

Haha! I've been there way too many times. Or it's "Wait, I need to make sure I get enough for shipping! But then these are nice too, or wait I don't have these yet... Would these be good ones to trade?"

Gorgeous tank! I'm super jealous!
Thanks SharkaThon! It's not much of a tank right now though, just mostly pics of the zoas I've been getting that end up in my frag tank since they thrive in there.

Hey Chad, I didn't even notice how I type but thanks for the compliment in the way I say things? (lol!)

My favorite LFS by far is Neptune Aquatics, they're in Milpitas. SPS frags are an amazing price and they always have something. Just have to look for it. :) Aquatic Collection in Hayward is also a great place to swing by if you're into LPS and softies.

I said Rastas grew quickly when I first got them, but that's because they probably went on a growing spree. I'm not sure what happened, but they just sort of stopped that now. I have my frags on grow out for the time, but if you post on The greater SF bay section of RC that you're looking for some you're bound to find one almost instantly. Our community is pretty big on zoos. :)

Oh yeah, almost forgot. I got them from a local reefer as part of a frag back/bundle. I traded 2x ecoxotic panorama pros around early '12, but they go for about $20 now, which is what I recently sold some of mine as.

Nice set-up!
Thanks! It's comments like these that make me ever so anxious to start that Solana.

Thank you. :)

I had one of these for years.
It came in a piece of live rock unknown to me. Then one day at night I was looking around the tank with a flashlight and bam, there she was! I had it for like 7 years, and then she disappeared without a trace.

I love your ricordea.
