Lion's Coral Den! Rics, Zoas, Palys!, Ric and Zoa/Paly lover!

Hmm, the pictures look better here. That's weird. hehe, I stalking you. :P

L

They do don't they? RC is more strict than NR though, maybe that's why they can have the nice photos. Haha, stalker!

Here's what RC sent me regarding Tigger:

"Thank you for your email and recent order with LiveAquaria. We apologize that the tiger blenny arrived damaged. We do inspect each specimen before they are shipped but damage can happen during shipping. We recommend quarantining the fish and treating with an antibiotic for fin rot and body fungus such as the Maracyn Plus. We have provided a link to this below.

We do offer a 14 day guarantee on all live fish. If the fish dies please feel free to contact us and a credit will either be put on your account or a credit can be issued to your credit card. If the fish does not improve by the end of the warranty please contact us and we will extend the warranty. We have placed a $30.00 in-store credit on your account for the inconvenience of having to treat the fish.

Thank you for choosing Drs. Foster & Smith LiveAquaria for your live aquatic needs. You are a valued customer and we look forward to hearing from you in the future."

That's pretty good I'd say. But I don't have a spare tank for a quarantine tank and I don't think that medicine is reef/invert safe... Going to probably call them tomorrow.

That's impressive customer service! Seems more than fair to me. I just wish we could order from them up here in Canada.

I hope the little guy pulls, through - really cool fish!

Agreed, their service is amazing. Just gotta call them so they can help me cure this guy, as I'm sure they know much more about treating fish than I do. I found a spare 2 gallon and a hob filter. Let's see what happens.

Just got off the phone with Live Aquaria's customer service team, much better than the guy I talked to when I first called. But maybe he was just grumpy from a long day.

Here's their first email to me:

Anywho, great service! Took her time to help me with my problem, showed me how to set up a quarantine tank, looked up to see if the medicine was reef safe and told me how to use it, and even gave me $5 more so that if he doesn't make it I would be able to purchase another one next time with the credit from the Blenny and not be penalized for shipping since they now gave me a $35 credit, the same cost as shipping. I also really like how they would extend his warranty if his condition doesn't improve to give me more time to help the little guy, shows that they care about the livestock and want it to get better. Live Aquaria definitely lives up to their reputation.

Seriously... why do I keep getting wrong orders when I order online? *Sigh*

I'll post pics a paly I was SUPPOSED to get, but got something completely different and it's not even healthy. Really disappointed...

Here are the pics:

Seriously, what is this half dead yellow thing? I'm really upset with them.

It came with a #75 written on the plug. The one in the pic also has a number, but I can't make it out.

This isn't shipping stress. They're from San Diego, I'm from San Jose. We're not that far apart. And for blue beast to turn to whimpy yellow in less than 12 hours? Not happening. The other two palys I won also did no look nearly as nice as the photo, but they're definitely what I bought in terms of what the frag looked like online so that's my fault so I can't complain there. But this thing... seriously. Too different for me and it was the most expensive of the frags.

Got amazing tip off a different thread. Here's the results:

Those zoas are awesome. Now I need to find some Candy Apple Blues.
Thanks for the compliment, I actually had one up for sale about a week ago!

If you boiled your tank you could probably produce enough palytoxin to kill a small country... Be careful :)
I'm not so much worried about a country as I am of my room... My tank is in my bedroom so if a fire were to start in the middle of the night, I don't think the fire would be the only thing out there to kill me. :crazy1:

Lulz

Tank's lookin awesome. I love the Rics in the last pic. That shrimp is an anemone shrimp, right? Does it stay on the Rics?
Yup, Yucatan Anemone Shrimp. Always stays on the big yumas. Doesn't bother with the new anemone since that's the home for the clowns now.

Your tank is Zoa Heavennnn ... :D
Thanks lilopop11, zoas are just great corals to have. Grow well, hardy, and the colors are amazing.

Here's my latest pick up. Told myself I would never get one for my tank since the stinging factor would be too much of a hassle for a nano... But got an email from my LFS saying they got 50+ of their infamous neon green bta... couldn't resist. It's by far THE nicest green nem I have seen. The wait list for these were ridiculous when they were propogating them. But someone local had 50+ of them and sold them back to the LFS. His tank must have been insane... Enough talk. Pics time.

Oh yeah, did I mention the newest fish member to the family?

He's the little guy on the right shimmying to Poseidon. :)

Sweet nem! Hopefully it adjusts to the LED soon and comes out of hiding. Cool that the clowns are hosting it already. We need better pics of the clowns though!
