Be cool just to have the Google Map app (like on frags.org) of all MTRC members (could be on the mtrc website or a separate URL), or perhaps even non-members, and perhaps include W and E TRC members too. The pop-up could have contact info and a tank shot or something.

Sounds like a task for the I/T board folks to implement.
If I was to get a list of member's usernames with address, and contact info (and maybe list of coral), I could create a KML file that would operate similar in Google Earth (of course users would need that installed on their PC, it's free), we could link that to the MTRC site or just pass the file around. Also, I could create a map in PDF format which would included "ID-able" points of reefers with info...
Same thing can be done in Google Maps, but that would take someone with more web programming skills than me.

How can we get the ball rollin on this idea. We could start making lists and posting them on a thread just to get it started. Maybe a more detailed list like the ones mentioned above could be made later. Also I can name 95 % of the corals I have but there are some I would need to maybe post a pic of to see if anyone could identify it.

I have a list made of mine but I dont want to post it until I identify a few I dont know. They could be just wild and dont have a name and would just have to be called by there scientific classification.
