I gather all dosing pumps at our price level have a +-10% accuracy. I have a bubble magus dosing pump (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1841840) - each one is a little different. I am "calibrating" two pumps together such that the KH and CA 2 part stays matched.
I head the BRS pumps on an RKE are the cheapest way to get reliable dosing if you only want 2 dosers
same thing You know how much you dose, divide it out, get the number of minutes of run time - spread it out as you see fit and have them dose into separate test viles for 24 hours. now see how close they are - you might need to put a "correction" factor on one.
On my bubble magus I use pumps 6 an 7 for KH and CA. pump 7 at 97% is the same over 24 hours as 6 at 100%.
I just use an aqualifter ($14). Started out guestimating how much I'd need over a 24 hr period and divided it up on my ACjr. Worked great until I poured saltwater into my DC8 :worried:. Just be careful with too much automation Brando.
