I am currently using my litermeter III of dosing my two part. so far i am very happy with the results. I want to start using it for an auto top off as well. I was looking at the LiterMeterTop-off Control Module from bulkfeefsupply. it sounds like it should work and the price is pretty cheap. has anyone used this type of module for topping off?

Love the LM3 top off. One great feature is the kind of built in fail safe - if for some reason the module fails, as long as the rate you set on the LM3 doesn't exceed the evaporation rate by tons, it should give you plenty of time to notice. I evap 4 to 5 liters a day max, and just set it for 6 - the tank can easily handle an extra liter or two, and I'd notice that the water is higher than normal. That said, the top off module has never failed.

I also use the LM3 for top off along with the two Top-off Control Module with one being redundant. Works like a charm.

Another vote for LM3 top off here; I use it on two tanks, both of them drawing through the same kalk reactor attached to my RO/DI storage tank, through 20' and 50' of tubing, respectively...

I have the top off module but haven't installed it yet. Did you guys just use the suction cups that came attached to the tube? I played with it for a while and they kept falling off my glass in the sump so i'm going to mount it different somehow.

One thing i noticed is if the water level gets high enough to shut off the LM3, it takes quite a bit of a drop in water level to get the power back on. Not near as sensative as a float switch. Does everyone's work this way?

Get some of these for about $5 from Premium Aquatics. Then you can slide the tube up and down the wall to adjust - they're fantastic. One of those clamps fits the tube nice and snug, no worries about it falling. But again, even if it did fall, as long as the lm3 evap is set properly, no worries...

Thanks. Do you know how strong those are? My sump now is a 150 galllon rubbermade stock tank but i'm not sure how thick the sides are.
