little black spots

I have noticed a few little black dots on my false perc. I have had him for about 3 months and he acts healthy, although he has not grown much. Could this be a sign of malnutrition? I feed flake/mysis/brine and he loves them all, although he sometimes spits the mysis and brine out a few times before eating it back up.

Any pictures? Also, do a search for black ich and see if they compare.

i asked the same question about a month ago. my fish store people and others agreed it was due to them trying to host my frogspawn unsuccessfully. they might be sting marks.

what if there doing it with no nem in the tank and no corals in the tank

Thanks guys for the help and the link. The spots on my clown are comparible in size to the picture in the link, but nowhere near as abundant. It could be the frogspawn doin it, or maybe it's melatonin spotting. I just got a nem so hopefully he'll start makin sweet love to the nem instead of the frogspawn.
