Little Giant external pump

Hi all,

I have a 90 gallon with a 30 gallon sump/fuge. I need an external return pump. Anyone have experience with this pump. Quality, sound, etc.

Also what does it mena that its not self priming??

I bought one used from a friend, I think its rated for 1300+ gph and I havent had any problems in the 7 or so months that I have been using it. Runs pretty quiet in my opinion. I think they are saying that the pump wont suck air so when you plug it in there needs to be water available in your plumbing for it to work otherwise it will just run dry and not do anything.

I use a Little Giant and it is a good pump. DO NOT forget to lubricate it (like I did). Like an idiot, I didn't even know that it had to be lubricated. I let it go for well over a year with no lube. It started to get unbearably loud and annoying. It sounded like air in the pump.

When I finally lubricated it ... it's almost silent again.
