Little Rock

We will be going to Little Rock in a couple of weeks and would love to stop in some of the lfs in that area. Does anyone have any suggestions for us, much appreciated and thanks

There's a place called The Fish Tank that's in the bottom level of an apartment building at Markham and University. Small store but great people. Definitely worth a look. Here's their website. http://www.thefish-tank.com/
BTW: The big blue and green chalice in the slideshow on their homepage is in my tank! It's way bigger now. I need to frag it up again.

The only other game in town is out in Maumelle. It's about a 10 minute drive from downtown Little Rock. It's called Northside Aquatics. They usually have the better selection, but the people there are real jerks. I personally don't like going there but it's worth a look if you've never been there.

There are a few other stores in the surrounding towns, but most are pretty small.

Yeah, when I am there for work I visit both stores and I agree with the above. The Northside people act as though they don't want anyone in there store but do have some nice stuff. The fish tank is a very nice "small" store and the people are awesome to talk with. Good luck.

Thank you both, this trip is kinda special for me as my tank came from a catfish resturant there that closed down. It only seems right to bring home something from Little Rock to go in my tank. Thanks again, Pamela

Well we made it home last night with a bag full of goodies!!!! From the Fish Tank shop we brought home a big beautiful pink square male along with his 2 lady friends. Our next stop was to Northside Aquatics and this store is pretty awesome! If you are in to freshwater too they have some beautifully scaped freshwater tanks as well. They have an awesome display of corals and all were very helpful in everyway. I have to say as well that they bagged our corals up better for the 5 hr trip home than I've ever received them before, even from LA. Thanks to those that gave us the heads up on the shops and thanks to Northside and the Fish Tank, we look forward to visiting again.
