Those are some nice pics. We are going to be doing a two week trip along the coast in July. Although we will be starting in San Diego and making our way up to San Francisco. I have been looking online for some spots to hit. I read on the Scripts site about tidepools, but it mentioned early spring. So I don't know if there will be low tides at the time. I can't wait!!! :)
I started to mention all these aquariums we could go to along the coast and my wife and girls gave me the crooked eyeball. So I get to choose one and I was thinking about the new one in San Francisco.

I grew up in Florence Oregon on highway 101. Sealion caves is about 10 minutes north of Florence. It is a neat place to visit. You take an elevator down to the caves and there a ton of sealions that stay there.

Very nice pics, my sister lived up in Oregon a few years back and I would hit the coast everytime I went up there, the Sealion caves are cool, that andthe resteraunts along the coast of southern Oregon are greaat.

i grew up in oregon too and really miss it. we were out there a few years ago. we always used to hang out just south of lincoln city. last time we were there, we had a beach house near cannon beach. great tide pools there, but they dont seem to have as much life as when i was a kid back in the 80's.

I too grew up in Oregon. Corvallis to be exact. I would go the New Port all the time. The best clam chowder is in New Port at Mo's anex. It sits on the water and if you time it right you can see the charter boats come in with their fresh catch. They clean and sell it right there on the dock.
