little trivia again!!

The cover piece of a snail ( I forget the name of the exact part). Its been too long since Invertebrate zoology in college.
 
Its not part of a living creature, the pic shows the whole live thing.

Ill give the answer tomorrow, if nobody gets it.

But I don't think so, its not a sand dollar, but similar in ways. (the way I read it when I first found what it was)

To tell you the truth, I don't have the true genus species for this guy, I found it on the net once and said it was a Whelk, but nass and whelks are very close so we will never truly know for sure.

He did eat like 3 snails in about a week, not reef safe.

I've got one more interesting and rare little critter in my tank. It only comes out at night and I'll have to take a video of it (pics won't be sufficient) so you'll have to wait for tomorrow to get a look at it.
