Little White Critters

I have little white critters on my back wall at night. They are about 1/2 centimeter long. some have very long thin tails but not all of them. they eat algae off the glass. They only come out at night. As sone as the lights start to come on they all hide. Any ideas?

Could be anything from copepods to snails. A picture would help.

Im thinking pods or mysids.
