Live Bald Eagle Cam

When I was in Canada last year there were Bald Eagles eveywhere. Truly a beautiful bird to observe. I know there numbers are on the rise up near the lake. I know Sandusky county is one of the leading counties in the state for current bald eagle populations.

Big active nest a few miles west of Vermillion. ODNR claims it has eggs. It's about 1/2 mile off the road down the rail road tracks.

For some reason the game warden didn't think it was funny we were using a rifle scope to check them out from the road last weekend. It wasn't mounted on a rifle, or anything. He still felt the need to pull over and ask if we had the rifle with us to match the scope

Might be a good excuse to get the wife up in the area of Salty critter guys. ;)

 just doing his job. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there stupid enough to take a shot.

there is a nesting pair of eagles right on cleveland ave in westerville. they are a new pair so i dont know if they have eggs or not yet but you can watch them through binoculars. the area has been fenced off so no one can get to them but i see them all the time flying around the alum creek area. i had one in my back yard one day it was amazing. never in my lifetime did i think to see a bald eagle in my back yard.

haven't heard of that where on Cleveland Ave?

I might just take the kids out and check them out.

I have a nice rifle scope you can borrow :D

i'd be worried the cops down here would ask questions later....
I'll stick to binoculars

Yes it is a different nest. The first nest had 2 eggs but they didn't hatch. My wife says there are two chicks (eaglettes?) but I have only seen one.

the nest on cleveland ave is right by countyline rd on the west side of cleveland ave behind the office buildings. you might not see it now that there are leaves on the trees.
