there is no really easy fish to breed and raise the young in saltwater. Closest I know are Bangaii cardinals. Breeding them is easy, raising the young requires more work if you want a high survival rate. One my LFS does it accidentally (a few of the babies survive)
I've always wondered if the yellow brotulas we see from time to time (usually labeled yellow eel goby) can breed in a tank. Would love to try it, but how do you tell the boys from the girls?
