Which LFS sells live foods, specifically brine shrimp. Any places near Schaumburg or Northbrook?

try fish planet in northbrook. i work right off pfingsten and stop there during lunch. i know he usually has them. he normally gets shipments of them on tuesdays.
i would give him a call before headin over but i am almost 100% sure he has brine

Don't waste your $$$ on brine shrimp. They are 98% water & have no nutritional value. Better to get blackworms & gut-load them with Selcon & Vita-Chem. It's like comparing white bread to steak. I buy a lb of live worms from Coral Reef every 10 days for $20. You should see how fat my fish are!

Is there anything special you do to keep the worms alive, can you just keep them in the fridge?

As far as the worms, I keep them in a Coolwhip container with holes punched on top, in the refrigerator. I keep them just damp enough not to dry out. Any more water & they drown. They must be rinsed out in a brine shrimp net every day. You are best to look at the worms before you buy them, as they sometimes have a bunch of dead ones on the bottom & you'll be paying for dead ones & the dead ones seem to rot the healthy ones. I always look at them or bag them myself.
Because they are a FW food, they must be soaked in SW vitamins. I use Selcon & Vita-Chem. I also gut-load the worms with crushed flakes/krill/plankton.

I'm trying to get a Copperband to eat so I want to try a couple different live foods. I'll try to hit up Coral Reef tonight.

Of course they were out tonight 
...so I'll have to try again tomorrow. Bought some brine and some frozen blood worms and the CBB didn't touch either, I think it have sucked up one brine but then spit it out. Not looking good

Did you ask the petstore what they fed? When I first got my Sixline Wrasse, it would not eat anything. I've tried frozen mysis, brine, krill, etc... I asked the petstore owner what he fed and he said New Life Spectrum pellets. So I threw that in and it ate that like there was no tomorrow. Go figure. Also, try garlic with what you are feeding. Some fish really respond to it. By the way, Copperbands love aiptasia and bristleworms, no? It's easy to get those... LOL..
Not necessarily so. Some CBB will eat aiptasia, others not. Pufferpunk is right about CBB and blackworms. Almost a guaranteed food for a potentially difficult eater.

Live brine didn't work, live black worms didn't work, Rods coral blend, frozen blood worms and some pellets, this guy won't eat anything. Stupid me didn't make sure the fish was eating before I bought him so I can only blame myself. At least I won't EVER forget to do that again. Not very happy about this, 1st time I have ever lost a fish this quickly (still alive but I can't see him lasting much longer).

The only other fish in the tank were my 2 True Percs and they weren't interested in the black worms either?

It sometimes takes fish a little time to recognize the worms as yummy food. But once they do...
