Is this a good idea?. I do not have lighting in the sump and wonder if I would have a lot of die off. I currently have 4 liters of Matrix along with about 20 pounds of live rock from another system but would like to add or subsitute.
lighting has nothing to do with bacteria growing on LR. The coralline algae if there is any may die off as well as any coral or other organisms that require photosynthesis.
