live rock has flat worms

well, I just called AC and they don't have any in stock and said it would be a couple weeks before they could get any. So, I'm gonna take wayne up on the offer if he doesn't mind.

I have a question. If you have them bad, would you see them crawling around? The other day when I noticed I had them, I took my dropper and was sticking it in holes in the rock and sucking them out. I didnt get too many, but I kept goin' til no more was showin' up. I tried the same thing this evening. I dont see any and wasnt sucking any out of the holes, I tried other rocks too. I know I still have them though. Just wondering if you should be able to see them. I even turned on the light after its been off awhile to see if I seen anything...nothing but bristle worms. Some good sized ones too. Are they known to eat flatworms? My FWE should be in the 1st. Shipped out today and I did the 2 day shipping. I would've asked if anyone wanted in on the order, but I had to do it quick, so didn't have time to plan.

I cant even see them anywhere. Do they reproduce fast? I'm still gonna treat with FWE when it comes in...should be tomorrow. And I'll probably do a follow up treatment a week later, just in case.

i hear they reproduce quickly but like i said whenever i get them they seem to just disapear pretty quick. mine on the rock i got have diapeared to. thats why i never really worried about them since they have always disapeared in time anytime ive had them so ive never had to treat my tank for them and hopefully wont ever have to lol. to me they have always been a normal hitchiker anytime i bought rock that just disapeared so i never worried about them. in every nano ive had which add up to about 10 nanos ive had them and they never got out of control. but your better to be safe then sorry since you already have the treatment. good luck.

Well, I did my FWE treatment earlier this evening around 6:00p.m. I accidently overdosed it though. I didn't bother to read instructions. I thought I read it was one drop per gallon, so I did 8 drops. Well, I just now read the directions and it's 4 drops for every 5 gallons. So, I actually did a 10 gal. dose in 8 gal. Doesnt seem to bad. Well, i didnt get too many flatworms, the first 10 minutes I got maybe 10-15. A few more came out. I sucked all I could see. After about a hour after treatment, I did a 2.5 gal. water change and put a fresh filter in to run carbon. The only things that it seemed to effect was my astrea snails (they are moving around like normal now), my zoas (just shined a flashlight and they are actually opened back up), my ceriths snails aint lookin' to good though, they havent moved much, but still alive. Don't see any of my mini brittle stars, usually see their legs hangin out from rocks. Other than that, everything else is fine. tons of pods runnin around. I read that if you overdose, you takea chance of losing pods and inverts. We'll see how everything is in the morning. I'm sure there wasnt too many flatworms in there because they hitchhiked on the monti I got. The rock was small. I know this cause people who got rock from same tank got flatworms. I did suck a quite a bit out before treatment. I'll still probably do another treatment in a week...I dont know.

I have tripple dosed with no problems. My brittle stars float in the breeze dead looking but they come back around eventually :) I would just re treat in a week and call it done. I doubt they will get a foothold since you caught them early.

Well if you only saw 10 to 15 you caught these early I think the first time I saw over 1500 so you shouldn't have any problems. I wish I would have done that first time I saw them

everything is back to normal this morning. All the snails are fine. I'm gonna do another treatment again next week just to be sure there is no more...
