Live Rock in Broward County

Does anybody know a place to get good live rock in the broward county area?

It has been difficult for me find a place that has good live rock. I'm looking for rock preferably with coralline to help seed. I bought a couple of purple rocks from All Pets (didn't want to) and realized that they dyed the rock purple!


I really need some quality live rock so please lead me in the right direction.

Should I just order from online? If so then where would you suggest I get the rock from?

The reef zone tends to have sales on their live rock. The coralline will grow in time. I really dont think this is something you can accelerate until your parameters are in check and cycles. Once this happens, it will grow like crazy. Just keep you Calc, Alk and Mag in check.

Victor over at Coral Kingdom usually has a nice selection of live rock for sale. Also now that Coral Reef Farms is opened again, I would check with them as well.

Check out www.liverockusa.com. I got all my rock from him, he's in Hollywood. He charges $3.50 a pound for some of the best live rock I've ever seen. The only downside is the mantis shrimp that come with it.

I've had a baby octopus show up after a month in hiding from these rocks. Its maricultured in the keys for a min of 10 years. Nice guy too..

NOt just a Mantis, 14 from 250 pounds of liverock. My tank sounded like the ocean for a month. Caught 12 of them so far.

Yes it did. My foxface didnt let it stick around too long.

if I were to buy anymore I would let it sit without light for a few days.
