Live Rock in QT

So, is this a good idea or not? I have some in mine right now, however it seems that it absorbs the Cupramine making it difficult to keep levels up.

I wanted it in order to provide a bit more stability, however now am debating taking it out. The QT is a 30gal, and I probably have 20 lbs in there.

Any suggestions?

If you plan on treating in QT, which you are, it might be a good idea to remove the live rock and sand if any. Also, remove carbon from filtration during treatment.

I use liverock (just a couple pieces) in my QT - but I treat in a separate hospital tank. I wouldn't use LR if I was treating with copper.

At this point you can't use that rock anywhere else, you could keep it in there and keep dosing cupramine until the rock is saturated and your levels remain constant. Or you could pull it out, but make sure your bio-filter is efficient enough to handle the load in there currently.
