live rock in qt?

All the qt's i've seen have only had pvc or pottery or something. Does anybody put live rock in? I have it in now. My tang seems more comfortable with it than not.

I have a red scooter blenny in QT now and I have a piece of rock in there for him to sit on, I think it makes him more comfortable. He also goes in and out of the PVC pieces. The problem is if you need to treat the tank. If or when I need to medicate, the rock will have to come out.

As muttley said, the problem with live rock is medicating the tank. Even hyposalinity can cause a problem if there are any inverts and critters in the live rock. And I always do hyposalinity in QT, so no live rock for me.

I have a QT tank and a hospital tank. The QT tank has some LR in it and never receives medication or is exposed to low salinity. The hospital tank uses only PVC and is where hyposalinity and medication id used. The QT tank runs all the time. I set up the hospital tank as needed.
