Jeremy, What do you guys have in stock in the way of live rock???

I see on your livestock page(updated 5/7) that you have almost none at all. Is this the case?

Thanks, Steve

We just got a big shipment of Manado about a week ago. We also have plenty of Fiji and Real Reef in stock right now as well, so we are all stocked back up.

Looks great! We just got another shipment in last night and it's great as usual. We also have some Fiji that is really nice right now as well. Our Fiji is not boat rock, but actual air freighted Fiji, so it's nice and clean with good color and life.

Ok. I'll look at it. My rock is cycling now. I originally was looking a TBS but your much closer

Let us know what we can do to help out. You're only about 2.5hrs from us, so if you're getting a decent amount of rock it might even be worth the drive over to hand pick it out yourself.

Rehash this question Jeremy? I'm looking on your site, what is the difference in your "real live rock" and the Fiji and manado rock? I am finally getting ready to seed my rock. It is completely cured and reads 0 on all tests. Tank to come up soon. Any input?

Corey

The Real Reef rock is a man made rock that is then tanked in a greenhouse for 3-4 months in a large established system to start populating it with bacteria. It is a bit dense, but the structure is really good, and if you're going for that "green aspect" of reefkeeping then this is a no-brainer. You will not get the same phosphate leaching, and unwanted nuisance algae growth that is common with dry rock when using this product. If you're going for the most amount of biodiversity and life then the Fiji and Manado would still be the way to go for you.

My rock is cured and ready to go in my new tank. Which would you recommend from those choices. I am wanting to seed mine with life to jump start coraline and other forms of life

Corey

Either the Fiji or the Manado would be just fine for you, both are very lively and look great after they've settled in.

Thanks man! I am gonna try to make it over soon. Getting ready to hopefully set up my new tank.
If not I'll see ya at our expo!! :D

240 gallon. And maybe 200-250 lbs. not sure I didn't weigh it but it was 2 trash cans full. I was just thinking a few lbs to seed it or do I need more than that?

Corey

That's not going to do a whole lot of seeding that quickly with that much rock. Personally, I would have put around 40lbs - 50lbs of actual liverock in with this to really help it get seeded and going, about 20% or so.

Guess I dropped that ball! I had no idea that much was needed and seeing as how I've done the aquascape already......:(
