ok I just purchased 45 pounts of live rock from fiji. I need another 27 pounds. here are some questions:

I only have a standard light for my 72 can the live rock live in the tank withough the heavy duty lights(reef lights) untill i buy one?

because its from fiji do I need to have a certain salinity level?

do only certain types of coral live on fiji rocks? what can I get what cant I get?

do I need the tank to be a certain temperature?

how do I cure the live rock?

Ok ill do my best. You can use regular fluorescent no problem. Corraline does not need alot of light to grow.

Just use standard temp and salinity . Usually 1.024-1.026
temp range 75-83 degrees.

You can cure it in tank if there is no fish in it yet or cure it in buckets(reccomended)

Coral frags get attached to the rocks so it is compatible with all corals that I know of.

Hope this helps

Put it in the tank and monitor your ammonia , nitrite, and nitrate levels. You should see an ammonia spike followed By a nitrite spike. Monitor you water untill the ammonia and Nitrite comes down to zero and remaiins there for a couple weeks then (Slowly) begin to introduce livestock.
